NEWS FROM HUMAN RESOURCES

Court Payroll has recently been consolidated with Human Resources to form the Human Resources Payroll and Evaluation Unit. This new unit, to be staffed by Sue Albright, Sandra Nardi, and Diane Papaleo, will be responsible for the processing of all matters relating to payroll, increments, and longevities, as well as the timely submission of employee performance evaluations. Pay checks will continue to be distributed in Room 391 City Hall. If you have a payroll question, you may reach the HR Payroll and Evaluation Unit at 683-6985.

Employees are reminded that medical benefits for a dependent child expire at the end of the month of the child's 19th birthday, unless you complete paperwork in Human Resources indicating that the child is a full-time student in an accredited school. Proof of enrollment in the form of a school roster or a letter from the school is required.

Employees with over age children not in school are responsible for notifying Human Resources and completing necessary paperwork removing the child from coverage. COBRA information will be provided describing the employee cost of continued coverage for the child. Failure to complete the paperwork on time will not free you from financial responsibility for any medical expenses incurred after the 19th birthday.
